Battery Park subdivision of 24 homes to take up 14 acres near wetlands
Ground is expected to be broken on Battery Park at Landfall within 60 days, exclusive broker Jimmy Hopkins said Thursday.
Plans have been submitted to the city for a 24-home development. The 14-plus-acre site is one of two remaining tracts of land left for development in Landfall, a gated community near Wrightsville Beach that borders the Intracoastal Waterway.
The 2,200-acre community, conceived in the 1970s and started in the 1980s, has 1,900 home sites.
Other than Battery Park, “there is just one strip of land near the back gate that has approximately 33 lots on it. That’s the end of the development,” said Intracoastal agent Vance Young, who has sold heavily in Landfall.
